Operations Lead BSS

The Operations Lead will be part of diverse technical team implementing state of the art billing solutions for customers around the globe. He will have ability to participate in all aspects of operations and delivery process. He will also have ability to demonstrate you agility and independence in execution of assigned tasks.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • General – Manage all aspects of BSS Systems delivery.
  • Collaboration and communication – Work with all stakeholders including external (customer) and internal organizations to manage end to end systems delivery.
  • Planning – Provide Operational planning and review of customer engagements. Manage scheduling of deployment.
  • Deployment – Ship, install, configure and test HW/SW at customer site.
  • Manage customer expectations with respect to delivery ensuring consistency and reliability.
  • Work collaboratively with all parties with regard to changes, incidents, problems & corrective actions and provide 24/7 escalation point to Lead, coordinate and communicate recovery of the service interruption (when required) for the applications in the relevant portfolio
  • Provide advice and support to management to ensure SLAs are achievable.
  • Process/Procedures – Establish and continuously improve operational processes to ensure efficient and cost effective delivery with best in class customer experience.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • University degree/diploma in computer science, engineering or similar discipline.
  • 5 years of experience in BSS/OSS operations environment.
  • End to end delivery of one or more billing system is highly desirable.
  • Experience with one or more of the following RDBMS: Oracle 10 , MySQL 5.x, SQL Cluster coupled with a solid understanding and experience with SQL. Experience with MySQL Cluster a +.
  • Experience with application servers (ideally with JBOSS) and servlet containers (Tomcat 5-7).
  • Ability to quickly understand client deliverables and to take responsibility for them.
  • Experience with the design and management of rating systems desirable.
  • Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal) are a must.
  • Passionate about building systems and delighting customers.
  • Experience in independently running deployment/operations projects end to end without supervision.
